1. About this policy

This policy describes how Hit the Road Dude (the "Service", at hittheroaddudeai.org, "we") handles information when you browse the site or use its account, payment and video features.

2. Photos and generated clips

The tool uses one photo of a cat or dog to request a fictional video in your chosen Pond Pickup, Couch Spot, Front Porch or Golf Cart scene. We process that photo and your selected settings to generate the requested clip and perform automated content-safety checks. We do not publish your upload as a site sample, use it in marketing, sell it or use it to train our own models. For video generation, we send the relevant photo and selected settings through the Kie API to a Seedance model. Kie provides the API service; Seedance is the video-generation model. Providers performing safety checks also receive the media needed for those checks.

Upload only a photo you have permission to use. Obtain the pet owner's permission. This tool is for pet photos, not photos of people. Do not upload a minor's photo.

Uploaded photos are temporary, while saved clips are separate. The retention details below explain the difference.

3. Information handled by the Service

• Account details. Email registration stores your email address and a secure password hash. If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides your email address, name and profile photo.
• Media and settings. Your uploaded photo, chosen scene and generation option, task status and generated clips.
• Consent records. Your account and the time you confirm permission to use the photo before generation.
• Orders and credits. The purchased pack, amount, currency, order status and credit transactions. The payment provider identified at checkout handles payment details. We do not receive or store your full card number.
• First-party usage records. A random visitor identifier, entry page, referring site, campaign tags, country provided by hosting request headers, browser type and actions such as opening checkout or starting generation. These records can be linked to your account after sign-in.
• Security records. We process the trusted request IP address to enforce abuse-prevention and account-email limits. Email rate-limit records use hashes of normalized email addresses and IP addresses rather than storing those raw values in the rate-limit records. We do not put raw IP addresses in analytics.

4. Cookies

Essential cookies maintain sign-in sessions, protect account access and support checkout. A first-party visitor cookie supports the usage records described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but blocking essential cookies can prevent sign-in or purchases.

This site does not use advertising cookies.

5. Why information is used

We use the information needed to run your account, process authorized orders, maintain your credit balance, generate and deliver your clips, show saved clips in My Videos, answer support requests, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. First-party visit records help us understand how people find and use the site. Account email supports verification and password resets; registration does not grant free credits.

Before generation, the photo must pass an automated sexual-content check. A finished clip must also pass a check before it is shown. If the photo check cannot complete, generation does not start and reserved credits are returned. If the clip check cannot complete, the clip remains hidden while the task is retried; if it ultimately fails or times out, the affected credits return. These checks do not identify every kind of prohibited content.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Service providers and disclosure

We share the information needed to process your requests with hosting, database and private storage providers; Kie for access to Seedance video-generation models; automated content-safety providers; the payment provider shown at checkout; and our account-email provider. Google also receives the information needed when you choose Google sign-in. These providers receive the information relevant to their part of the Service, such as media for generation or payment details for checkout.

We may also disclose information where required by law or needed to protect the Service, its users or people shown in content.

7. Retention and deletion

• Uploaded photos. Task cleanup removes the upload when the task finishes or fails. If cleanup cannot finish, or the result is uncertain after a timeout, the upload may remain until later cleanup or the storage fallback removes it. The fallback is approximately 24 hours after the upload was saved, not a guarantee of immediate deletion at the end of a request.
• Saved clips. Completed clips remain available in My Videos and can be downloaded. They are not on the upload-cleanup schedule.
• Deletion requests. There is no self-service clip or account deletion button. Contact hewqbx@gmail.com from the account address, or submit a support ticket to request deletion. Requests are verified and handled manually within a reasonable time.
• Account, order and consent records. Records needed for accounting, abuse prevention and disputes may be retained after a deletion request. Visit and activity records remain while useful for operating and improving the Service; requesting account closure does not automatically delete every record.

8. Security

The deployed Service uses HTTPS and restricts access to systems and stored files. No system can guarantee absolute security. Use a strong, unique password and do not share account access.

9. Your choices

Sign in to view and download completed clips from My Videos. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export personal information, or to object to certain uses. Send a request from your account address to hewqbx@gmail.com. We verify requests and do not treat you differently for exercising applicable rights.

If a photo was used without permission, send the relevant clip link or generation ID to hewqbx@gmail.com. Do not send another person's identity documents unless requested through an appropriate process.

10. Age and international processing

The Service is for people aged 18 or older, and uploads must not show minors. If we learn that we hold a minor's photo or account data, we will take steps to delete it. Providers may process information in countries other than yours; international transfers rely on the applicable safeguards offered by those providers.
